Emergency Response & Reporting Online

This on-line course is intended to provide participants with necessary response and reporting skills that can be utilized in fulfilling their everyday role in real-time operations. The course will identify actions to implement during emergency conditions.

The participants will be required to utilize these actions to mitigate system events and then complete any NERC or DOE reporting requirements. Exercises will utilize the Finist Simulator system. The situations presented in the exercises will deal with various system events.

Module Objectives:

• Identify the NERC requirements with regards to reporting
• Identify the DOE requirements associated with reporting power system events and actions
• Explore the elements of the NERC and DOE reporting vehicles
• Identify actions to implement in response to system events and emergencies
• Utilize the FINIST Simulator to demonstrate the implementation of actions for responding to events
• Complete associated reporting forms for simulation activities
